Small Kitchen Room Ideas

Subway Tile

To pretend a bright farmhouse kitchen in a Manhattan apartment, Celerie Kemble painted the cabinets Benjamin Moore's White Dove. The walls, along with a milk-glass chandelier and brass hardware, create the illusion of sunlight that is additional.

Copper Shelving

Working with only 72 square feet, Austin designer Kim Lewis opted for in-plain-sight storage. The copper-pipe shelving includes hooks for hanging mugs, keeping the. Without a dishwasher, a farmhouse sink can adapt pots and pans.

Singular Shelf

Though his clients asked a bank of available shelving, designer Grant K. Gibson added a single ledge for their galley kitchen. "One shelf is straightforward and dynamic," he says. "You need to be able to hide clutter, and this way, it is possible to rotate your collections!"

Mirrored Cabinets

Antiqued mirrored glass on cabinet doors expands the little kitchen in a Brooklyn townhouse decorated by Jonathan Berger. Granite countertops and backsplash in Imperial White are out of E. Stone.

At a Manhattan apartment, the existing kitchen cabinets were painted Benjamin Moore Aura in Black. "I wanted it to seem less boring and more like a smart butler's pantry," designer Lilly Bunn states. The Roman shade is in Holland & Sherry's Belfour linen.

Pot Rack

Bulky pans may take up valuable property, so Katie Ridder installed Urban Archaeology's Industrial pot stand in a Greenwich Village duplex. The elegant barstools out of Cherner Chair Company are a 1958 layout by Norman Cherner and so are padded in MK Collection's Summer Strié.
